When we began this reconstruction project in November, our goal was to honor the home’s original 1910 Craftsman character while thoughtfully updating it for modern living. Located on a prominent corner lot in Portland’s highly sought-after Clinton Division neighborhood, this home offered incredible potential beneath years of wear. From the beginning, we focused on preserving the architectural details that make homes of this era so special while creating a space that feels fresh, functional, and ready for its next chapter.
Throughout the renovation, our team carefully refreshed and enhanced the home’s livability while maintaining its historic charm. Beautiful bay windows continue to fill the living room with natural light, original pocket doors still define the formal dining space, and thoughtful updates throughout the interior bring modern comfort to a classic floorplan. The partially finished basement received a fresh update to create a brighter, more versatile space, while improvements to the exterior, landscaping, and outdoor areas help maximize the home’s corner-lot presence and curb appeal.
One of the most rewarding parts of this project has been watching this historic Portland home come back to life. Nestled in one of the city’s most walkable and bike-friendly neighborhoods, just steps from beloved local destinations, it now offers the perfect blend of historic craftsmanship and contemporary convenience. We are proud of what our team accomplished and grateful for the opportunity to help preserve a small piece of Portland’s architectural history for generations to come.
